Post-harvest Technology
This course presents various aspects of post-harvest technology of horticultural commodities including post-harvest handling systems for specific commodities. It covers both cereals grains, pulses, and perishable products as well as their losses and control measures.
Course Objective
To introduce the learners to post-harvest concepts, postharvest losses, etc.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
- Describe the various post-harvest concepts, post-harvest handling components, and systems
- Enumerate the various food losses and their causes at various points along the food chain during and after harvest
