Gender Studies
The course is intended to introduce students to Gender issues. We expect students to gain an understanding of the role of men and women in Agribusiness and the equality in sharing property and profits from businesses including the ability to break cultural barriers to women's development.
Course Objective
- The lecturers will discuss the role of gender in business growth and development, human rights, and labor laws that protect workers including women.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
- Briefly explain the historical perspectives of the gender movement
- Relate gender to human rights and business success
- Explain the relationship between gender and development
