Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery
The course content is designed in an integrated manner that enables students to appreciate the integrity of the entire body's functioning. As a result, relevant Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Microbiology content pertaining to a given aspect is grouped together. Horizontal integration structures the disparity between disciplines that include Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, which at first would otherwise be taught independently but concurrently to provide a package of learning experiences in the Biomedical Sciences. The traditional methods for Teaching Medicine along specific lines of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Microbiology are now hardly ever applied. It also eliminates compartmentalization and minimizes subject content repetition. Vertical integration ensures that all levels of the learning spiral are integrated, disclosing students to Basic Sciences, Clinical experiences, and community health activities from the start.
