This short course aims to expose participants to how to minimize the fire risk and maintain a state of readiness to respond to emergencies involving firefight and extinguishing fires in the Maritime sector, schools, industries, open spaces, and buildings. This short course will particularly focus on Understanding the risk of fire on board and how to minimize those risks, Learning how to fight and extinguish fires as well as search for and recover casualties, and Covering how to wear firefighting equipment including personal breathing apparatus and safe use of fire extinguishers.

Entry Requirements
Requirements for this course include;
a) Must be above 18 years of age.
b) Must be medically and physically fit without any impairment regarding one’s limbs, ears, eyes, nose, and mental faculties. This must be submitted through a medical form from a recognized hospital.
c) Must have some back in the language of instruction preferably a credit in English at the Primary Leaving Level.
