Diploma in Nautical Science
This program aims to produce competent Nautical scientists with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to be able to navigate marine vehicles, operate marine vehicles, plan a marine vehicle passage, carry out maritime communication, and operate and maintain navigation systems for the different kinds of marine vessels under various maritime conditions.

Entry Requirements
Requirements for this Course Include;
a) Should have an “O” level certificate
b) Must obtain three advanced level passes, one in Mathematics, the second one in Physics, and the third one in Geography/Economics at the same sitting of the Uganda Advance 5 Certificate of Education or its Equivalent.
The advance level subjects shall carry the following weights which shall always be used to compute the entry points:
Essential Subjects: Two best done of Mathematics, Physics, and Geography/Economics– Weight 3
Relevant Subjects: Third best done of Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, and Geography – Weight 2
Desirable Subjects: General Paper and Computer or Sub-Mathematics – Weight 1
